Shlok

15-year-old Shlok lives with his parents and siblings and belongs to Vikasnagar in Dehradun. His father is a farmer and his mother is a housewife. He came to Raphael for assessment on 20 January 2019. Initial assessment findings indicated that he exhibited behavioral issues, including stubbornness and difficulty following instructions. he was partially independent in activities of daily living and had challenges with communication.

He was admitted to Raphael's hostel, where his training focused on behaviour modification, enhancement of activities of daily living and basic academic skills. He responded well to the program and is now able to follow verbal instructions. He enjoys playing with a ball, can solve jigsaw puzzles and is able to trace his name. Shlok is independent in self-care, including dressing himself and putting on his shoes and clothes. he also assists with folding clothes in the hostel.

His parents was satisfied with his progress and decided to keep him at home to implement and reinforce the skills he had learned.
